A prayer of more than thanks

"But I do more than thank. I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength!" Ephesians 1:15-19 Message

Giving thanks and praying for you

Ephesians 1:15-16 These words from Ephesians aren't written by me so it reminds me to give thanks for others in my life and remember them in prayer. Take some time now and to remember those around you by giving thanks and lifting them up to God in prayer.

Sealed by the promised Holy Spirit

Ephesians 1:13-14 Have you ever wondered if you are a Christian or not?  If you have heard that Jesus Christ died and rose again for the forgiveness of your sins and if you have accepted this gift you can be assured that you're protected by the Holy Spirit and are a child of God.  Thank you Jesus!

God has a plan for us

Ephesians 1:11-12 From the beginning, before we ever knew God, He had a plan for us.  Lord Jesus, help us to seek You so that we may understand, and obey, the plan You have for us.

Forgiven for unity

Ephesians 1:7-10 Christ modeled for us a perfect relationship between Him and His Father yet it led Him...because of our pride and the fear of people and, and ... to the cross then ultimately to His resurrection and His position in heaven. May we not forget that Christ came to set us free to live an abundant life under His Lordship. His plan is to unify us under His leadership even while we have free choice.

Choosen

Ephesians 1:4-6 We have been choosen to be adopted by God so that we can be called God's children.  It's so personal we can call him Abba, Daddy.  We are blessed.

Praise God

Ephesians 1:3 We have lots to thank Jesus for. He modeled servant leadership, He loves us just as we are, He died for us...and we are spiritually blessed. Thank You Jesus

Grace and peace to you

Ephesians 1:1-2 As I read the letter to the church of Ephesus I'm reminded to extend grace and peace.  We're all unique and we all make mistakes so it's important to forgive.  Jesus said we are to forgive seventy times seven times.  This however, should be done with wisdom.  Forgiveness doesn't mean we stay in a place of abuse; it means we surrender our right to getting even.  Sometimes this type of forgiveness can not be done in our own power as Corrie Ten Boome testifies.  Sometimes the only way to forgive is to ask for God's help.  My prayer for you is for grace and peace.
