He gave us the people in the church

Ephesians 4:11-13

Have you ever thought of why God gave us the people in the church with all of their giftings?  It was to equip the church for works of service so the church may be built up until we all reach complete unity in the faith and knowledge of Jesus.  This takes maturing until we reach the fullness of Christ.

Today I will consciously thank God for each person in the church and remember that God gave them for works of service so that we may be built up into complete unity.  Lord Jesus, please show the leaders how each person fits into Your church. Thanks

He came to us!

Ephesians 4:9-10 What a remarkable story.  Jesus left all the advantages of heaven and came to us in human form.  What a gift.  He learned what it was like to be human and showed us how to live as humans.  Then God raised Him up so that He can intercede on our behalf and left the Holy Spirit with us so we can be unified with the gifts here on earth.  Let's make Him proud of us.

Remember the fight is not against people

Ephesians 6:12-13 This is a powerful section of scripture.  In it we're remind that our struggle is not against flesh and blood.  The evil one will use our relationships so be careful.  Watch out for the lies of the enemy and put on the full armour of God so you can stand firm under the enemy's attacks.  Lord Jesus, please help us to be wise. Thanks for your armour of protection.  Thanks for reminding us to wear it.
